State Legislative Platform and E-Bike Regulations
Lake Forest wants the power to impound e-bikes and high-powered eMotos ridden where they're banned — playgrounds, sports fields, and other city property. It follows a fatal crash in April when a minor on a high-powered eMoto killed an 81-year-old pedestrian, and new state laws (SB 586 and AB 875) that reclassified eMotos as off-highway vehicles.
